It would be great if you could change the name/label of any dimension added to the criteria bar to a custom label.
Especially helpful if you have multiple time/item dimensions in the same cube.
Eg. rename a time dimension in the criteria bar "posting date", "Receiving date" etc..12 votes
This feature is on the agenda for the upcoming 2019 release.
Currently the crosstab doesn't scale automatically like the other data objects. That makes it cumbersome to control the way analysis scale with different resolutions and/or different mobile devices9 votes
With the upcoming 2019 release, you will see a dramatic improvement in how to handle scaling issues across different resolutions and different device types. Hold your breath. ;-)
Currently, the report is made from a crosstable or from scratch. Make it possible to autogenerate a report of an entire analysis. This way you get a suggestion on how the objects can be organized and from there develop the report.2 votes
One of the most exciting new concepts of the upcoming 2019 version is to create “documents” rather than “analyses” and “reports”. In other words, you do not create a specific document type. Instead, the end user experience of creating an analysis or a report will the same thing with the same options – it is only after you created the document, that you will specify to use as one or the other type – or as both.
Instead of just showing the position of the object please also show the size of the object. This would make it much easier to design object with the same size.1 vote
Reports: cross tab in reports side by side in reports
It should be possible to include side by side cross tabs in Reports and define the size of each cross tab to scale down independend of the colums and Rows included.15 votes
Hello dear TARGITsters,
About time to get an update on this one. :-)
Early Betas have revealed “free floating objects” on a background canvas. So, indeed, we can look forward to having reports with crosstabs next to each other with the 2019 release.
Reports: It should be possible to inlcude objecst bar charts ect. the same way as cros tabs, so you do not need to hold the object in a analysis for later changes. As it is now, there are no possible way to recreate the objects with the local filters that the object has included!.9 votes
Oh yes! With the 2019 release, you do not start out with a new Analysis or a new Report. You simply start out with a new “Document” – i.e. you define the data and the objects as you would like to present them, and only at that point you decide whether it should used as an analysis or a report … or both!
