Take a subset of a cube and visualize as a new (virtual) cube. In source data the virtual cube appears as an individuel cube. Dimensions and measures can be renamed with new names, and will appear with those names when used.

Exactly Ole and with tools like ”Targit codeunit” + 1 single table in Microsoft Nav with measures and dimensions + 1 common cube in targit with same measures and dimension structure, you can skip all the data discovery work around, and as a developer Slice the common cube into virtuel cubes.
Similar functionality as 'Perspectives' in SSAS.
